    Default Newbie Q: Is there a two-line trim/extend?

I find when doing architecture drawings there's often a need to trim/extend two lines to form a corner. I found the TRIM command, which is very efficient for some situations, but is a bit tedious for simply trimming two lines to make a corner. E.g., with other cad programs, it's select tool, pick, pick, and you're done. TRIM requires several more steps. Is there simple two-line trim for autocad?

or chamfer, with the distances set at 0. (both the fillet and chamfer settings will be retained for the next time)

Also you can reverse the trim command to extend, simply by holding down the "shift" key.
And if you hit enter rather than selecting an object, both trim and extend will then trim and extend to the next nearest object.

You can still you the "fence" command with trim if you need to do multiples.
enter the trim command as you normally would and hit "f" for fence.

Cool. Thanks Mamma! I tried all your suggestions and they worked great.

Followup question -- When using FILLET or CHAMFER, the command quits after picking two lines. Is there a way to keep it "in" the command until I tell it to stop?

I believe you can choose 'M' for multiple after you start the command and before you pick, sim to the copy command.

Do what I do. Keep your finger on the space bar (as opposed to the ENTER button) and when you fillet the first one just hit SPACE to pop ya right back in the command. I know it seems like you're doing more by hitting the space bar every time but you don't have to "do something" to get you into the multiple feature of the command and you don't have to "do something" to get you out of the command.

Just a personal way of doing it. Multiple works too.

Or try my multiple fillet command in this thread: http://forums.augi.com/showthread.ph...illet+multiple

I use it quite often to create corners for multiple lined walls. For just the 2 lines it's not that much quicker, but for cavity / composite walls it rules!
