Not sure what I'm missing but I have looked and can't seem to figure out why the tick marks on this alignment are not showing. Any ideas?

Your gonna need to add it to you lable style.
Lable style composer> layout tab> create component pull down>add tick mark. You will need to create a tick mark block or barrow it from another drawing.
( for that matter you can barrow the style that works from another drawing too.
If it's in the style check for frozen layers.

Make sure there is a block associated in the "Label Style Composer" in the layout tab, under component name "tick"(or similar). see attachment
In the image I see three white lines to the left that seem to align with the stationing. Any chance those are your ticks and they're not where you were expecting them? (due to a setting in the label style or the insertion point of a block being used for the ticks)

What happens is that you should check the label containing the line or mark component, but if you do not have it you must add it in the add component option.
