    Default grid bubbles -disappear?

Hi sorry if this is a question already answered here but I searched for a while without luck. I have a plan that is missing the gridlines, about 5 or 6 actually. They are not hidden, and I have even gone to another similar scaled view and propogated the grids to the view and they are still not appearing. Can someone shed some light on my lack of understanding around this issue. Thanks for any suggestions.

    Regards Peter.

Are the missing grids showing up in any views? I ask because from your description it sounds as if they may have been deleted by accident.

No they are still there in most of the other plans. I just can't get them to show up in a couple of my floor plans. Like I said I tried to propagate them from the views where they exist and also tried to make a view template neither of which worked. Thanks.

    Regards Peter.

Is this a work setted project? They could be part of a workset that has been turned off by a view template, or even not loaded if you have selected only certain worksets to load. Also check the properties of the other grids to see if there is a scope box applied, if so they may be outside of the scope box.

Go to an elevation view and make sure the grid lines extend through the floor plan level you want them to show on.

eric - not sure about the workset issue, doesn't look like a scope box issue. I tried resetting the "Maximize to 3d extents" and that gives me the grid and bubble back but I will have to reset the location on all of the drawings now?

wmullet - yeah - that is not the problem - I actually have a plan that is the exact level which shows the grids properly - I have a level 2 floor plan at 1:125, which shows properly, and I have the Level 2 Fire Safety Plan at 1:200 which was duplicated from the Level 2 floor plan and is missing several grid bubbles/lines. Thanks.

Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Regards Peter.

    Cool Re: grid bubbles -disappear?

Use "propogate extents" to make them show up in the views where missing.

Also, try associating all Grids to a Scope Box.

    cheers........

Cliff - thanks for the tips.

I tried the propagate and it didn't work. I thought for sure that it would.

I'll try associated the grids to a scope box.

    Cheers Peter.

A few other things to check:

Check the Grids for "2D extents" or "3D extents"

Also, make sure they are on the Shared Levels and Grids workset, and that that workset is turned on.

Check the "Lightbulb" hide tool--make sure they are not hidden in the views where they don't appear.

Check the if there are any Section Boxes and stretch them to expose the whole model.

Check the Viewport crop region and make sure it is not clipping the grids--they must be
    perpendicular to the view display.

    cheers........
