Angry Inserting blocks and pesky shape file prompts

The strangest thing...I made several wblocks, each containing one dimension with the text override values different. When I insert them off my tool palette one prompts for a number of shx substitutions and one does not. I ran system variable comparisons on the wblocks and they are identical except for insertion points.

How can text shx substitutions get caught in dimension text? It does not make sense to me.

I doubt anyone can help, but it sure feels good to vent!

Open the dwg file that is the block, and PURGE it. most likely there are unused definitions hanging loose in the dwg
