    A plan view is a plan!... Plans are by default horizontal. Any other view is not a plan so the view you call a "normal" plan is not a plan but a section.

    it'll be great if factory can provide a means to create PLAN view based on user defined work / reference plane, currently it's not (correct me if i'm wrong), so using detail section view is a kind of workaround, not bad solution, but it's still not a real PLAN view as wmullett said above, i agree w/ wmullett, sounds normal and logic that PLAN view creation should include user defined work / reference plane, not just level based.
