    Unhappy 3D SUBTRACT fail

    MY 3D SOLID DOESNT SUBTRACT FROM ANOTHER 3D SOLID.

    it did before... im working on a patternt, so most is already subtracted, but then it just stopped. what can it be?

    im using AutoCad 2010.

    Hi, welcome to AUGI.
    It could be that your solid has reached a "limit of complexity". Try creating two simple solids in the same file (as your complex solid) and subtract one from the other.

    Thank you.. that is exactly what happend.

    im building a dome, and subtracting about 50 windows (3dsolids) out of it.

    it told me that i cant subtract anymore windows because i reached a limit.. so i converted the dome into a "brep".. which helped, but now when i try to explode the window block, it just disappears....

    what else can i do to the window block, to convert it into a 3d solid so i can subtract it from my dome/3dsolid?

    i have like 5 left... and its my thesis!!!! (

    Why not try splitting the dome into 2 halves, subtracting the windows, and then see if you can union after that.
