acad c3d V2012 64 BIT -XREF MANAGEMENT Problem

I find it hard to explain how frustrated I am at ACAD C3D POOR management of XREF memory
I have crashed my program so many times I can't name because of XREFs that it can't manage
**** poor image ref management also

My drawing AND my CAD drawing are on my local drive also
Anyone else have these crippling experiences?
I'm not using a lightweight workstation either.
Lenova 64bit C30 ThinkStation (Windows 7) with 32GB of RAM 1.8 GHZ XEON processor, and a NVIDIA Quadro 600 graphic card

Sorry you're having so many problems. For starters, it looks like you've taken a tanker truck (32 GB RAM) and welded it onto a Yugo (1.8 GHz processor, Quadro 600) - that won't make it go any faster. You should have a processor at least in the 2-point-something GHz speed, 3+ would be better. With that, 16 GB RAM would be sufficient.

Crashes can come from many sources, not just memory issues from exceeding available RAM. Video card drivers may be in conflict. Work processes have a huge impact on Civil3D stability, you can't treat it like CAD-plus-tools.

We've been using Civil 3D 2012 with Windows 7 64-bit for over a year now and I find it to be very stable. We use xrefs and drefs extensively. I crash maybe once or twice a week. I go some weeks without crashing at all.
