    Default Revit MEP Schedules

I'm using Revit MEP 2010 and trying to create schedules from a file that the architect created. I need to seperate the devices by areas or rooms. It seems that none of the options in the schedule give me a way to seperate the devices. When I selected all of the fields, it still gave the the count for the entire project not just the area I was interested in. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I have spent too much time in ACAD MEP 2010 lately instead of learning the Revit or at least keeping up with it. I haven't had too many exterior shops using Revit yet so I am only slowly learning it.

You'll need to create a Space Schedule first. Keep it simple and just use a couple of fields, maybe "Name" and "Number."

In the properties of that schedule, you will have an additional option to create an embedded schedule. Use that option to create an Electrical Fixtures schedule inside the Space Schedule. Add the "Family" and "Count" fields, sort by "Family," and check off "Grand Totals."

The schedule will report the device and quantity in each Space. See screenshot. HTH.
