    Unhappy 3d Dimensioning?

We are in the process of creating formed up views of parts (mostly in solidworks or other programs, but have some in AutoCAD we need to process quickly and dont have the time to redraw...)

In taking a flat layout in autocad, throw it into an isometric view, and using the 3d OP/Rotate 3D and 'folding' one end up...i can get the view how i want it, but dimensioning isn't cooperating. I can dimension the horizontal dimensions fine, but when i try to dimension vertical, it just stays stuck on the horizontal and gives me a 0.000 dimension...i have tried the F5 flip for isoplanes and my crosshairs also dont seem to be flipping...

Im not a big autocad 3d user so, this is new and Im sure im missing something simple...any and all help will be greatly appreciated...thank you!

Iso planes are only relevant to flat (2d) isometric drawings not isometric views.
Have you tried dimensioning in paperspace? It should work though maybe not as well as in later versions.
Alternatively, in modelspace, you should create a suitable UCS parallel to your view plane.
You could post a sample file here.

You have to change the ucs to be coplanar with the face you want to dimension. 2D dims will always be placed at the current elevation for the ucs.

    Ok, next question...
My dimensions are coming in on the correct orientation, but they are backwards...some of them i can change the text rotation in properaties 180 degrees and it works but others the numbers are the right direction but are upside down...is there another trick im forgetting to do that?

    Thanks again

Also, im dimensioning the iso's in paperspace, i set my dim scale in the dimension style modify settings to scale to fit viewport, my arrowheads are scaling but my text isnt, its staying small, thoughts?

does the text style you're using have a defined height? that would take precedence over the dimscale
