Default Apply Family Type Param to a Generic Wall Based

    Hello

I`ve made a Window Family (from window templete) and I inserted a Nested Sill that was started from "Generic Model wall based" template because i wanted the Sill to cut from the wall. in the window family I positioned the nested sill relative to the window elements and than i made a Family Type Parameter (generic type) and tryed to apply it to the nested sill but i can`t because this error apeared: "Can't use this type in this host."

    So the question is:

Family Type Parameter can`t be applyed to a Generic Model wall based nested family in a Window Family? Because i want to swich different sill types. Like we do with Panels.

Default Re: Apply Family Type Param to a Generic Wall Based

Well my mistake. I found out what was the problem. When I created Family Parameter for the sill Revit automaticly assigned it a value of a type of an already generic nested panel. So I have to swich the value to a type of the generic sill and AFTER THAT a could aplly the parameter to the Sill geometry...
