Why not load the face based GM into the family that you want to cut?

I'm not 100% positive, but I think an in-place family of the same category can cut user loaded families. I'll check and report back.

    thanks Carl and Aaron.

well, it has to cut through loaded user family as no certain location/angle patterns for that face based GM within that user family, see attached jpg, i have to take out siding from gable family and model it as separate wall, seems that's the only choice before i resort to API.
