Default Revit 2011 and Cut Profile

Has anyone else seen this, when you have a floor coming into a wall and want to cut it back for an expansion joint. In Revit Arch 2011 if you have a structural deck in your floor and try to use a cut profile it will leave the structural deck the full length and only cut backthe 2 portions of the floor. Any one else wanna give this a shot and see if it does the same thing?

I looked into this issue, and yes, the same happens here. I guess the original design of that deck contains a solid object (the concrete portion) and a couple of symbolic lines representing the steel deck. Therefore the Cut profile tool only cares about the solid part, leaving the rest of the symbolic lines there. Since we can't use Edit family on this, the only solution I found was to hide that left over portion of the symbolic lines with masking regions made with invisible lines.
