    Cool Revit 2011-Win 7 - Video card FX1800

I am quite a dinosaur and have come late to using Revit with no previous experience in CAD drafting at all. Having gone through REvit 2008 and 2009 succesfully I am now uploading 2011 on a new computer with 12 gB, Win 7 and a recommended video card FX1800. However, after reading all the conflicting posts about NVDiA cards, can anyone tell me whether I am doing the right thing. Replies and help would be much appreciated.

Whether you're doing the right thing has little to do with the video card.

Just install Revit and see what happens. You'll either notice some weird graphic artifact issues as you use Revit - or you won't. I'd say most random crashes are also caused by a video card driver issue. If you do experience issues, come back here and post what you're experiencing and what version of the nvidia drivers you're using.

The worry is really when buying a new video card since you never can be absolutely sure whether it will be completely compatible with Revit or not.

    Happy Reviting.
