    Default paste takes a long time

    Hello
    using 2008
    when I paste anything using Ctrl V or from the pull down it takes a long time for it to actually do anything. is there that can be done other than going back to 2007

    Start two new empty (use no template) drawings.
    Draw a line in one, copyclip the line from here and then pasteclip into the other drawing.
    Is this just as slow?

    Copyclip writes a DWG file to your %temp% directory and Pasteclip inserts it.
    Maybe the drawings you are working with have tons of scale list entries, or regapps, etc. making them really large? Take a look in your %temp% directory after running CopyClip.

    My guess is you have a huge number of scales in your scales list.

    Reset the list by running -SCALELISTEDIT (notice the minus sign for command line options), Reset option, then Exit option.
