Default Unexpected results when importing weather data

After importing comma-delimited hourly weather data, Weather Tool shows totally incorrect rainfall figures.

It may be a result of the way I worked the data: I started with typical hourly air-met (airport) weather data. This data does not show the actual amount of precipitation, instead an indicator – RA (rain), DZ (drizzle), etc – is shown in the precipitation column. I found the total rainfall for the year from another source, then simply divided this by the number of hours that showed a precipitation indicator. In my case the region had 540mm for the year, and there were 720 precipitation hours in the same period; resulting in 0.76mm per hour. I then replaced any precipitation indicator with 0.75, and used that column as input to the rainfall field. Now, when I look at the hourly data in Weather Tool, I get completely different (and substantially larger) values. Any ideas why? It's probably something obvious that I cannot see!

I have noticed that the rainfall shown for Monthly Data in Weather Tool is actually correct, but the hourly data shown is incorrect. A bug, I suspect.

I am using a trial license, but my confidence in the accuracy of results from Ecotect is waning... enough for me to delay committing to the product!

It would be nice if Autodesk maintained a comprehensive worldwide repository of weather data files (.wea) for Ecotect...

...and some better 3-D visualization of thermal results would be good, too – perhaps Autodesk could borrow some expertise from their substantial 3-D modeling and animation business?

If you could post the csv file that would be helpful. One of the issues with bringing in data into the weather tool is you have to match the data correctly and understand how the tool is utilizing the column data.
