    Default Quick select problem

My colleague (AutoCAD 2007) cannot do a quick select - the dialog box appears, but the properties box is empty. It's not the drawing because it 's the same with any drawing, and he's the only one with the problem. Any ideas? Thanks.
PS He has done a re install, the problem still persists. Also his properties dialog box does not register selected items in any drawing.

    Hi Jaberwok,
It's already set to 1, if you can think of anyrthing else....I'm going to get him to do a repair instead of reinstall & see if it'll work.
