    Default Layer disapering after xclip

    Hi all.

I am xrefing an elevation drawing into a section to show the building beyond the section.

When I apply the xclip to the elevation. One of the layers goes off even though some line on that layer should show inside the xclip boundry.

What can cause a layer to go off or freeze, or disapear when xclipping?

I should clarify that the layer is on, thawed etc in all of the draiwngs even where it's xref'd, and I've taken into account the layer name of the xref with the vertical bar in it.

    Thanks for any help.

It seems like the position of the boundary is doing it.

I've been able to inaccurately pull the boundary off the proper line which makes the layer re-appear.

Have you tried running an AUDIT or RECOVER on the drawing?

    Will the layer still print?
