Smile Polyline Edit - Add multiple vertexes

Add multiple vertexes to a polyline with one command.

I love the new features of the polylines. The added grips that allow you to add a vertex or arc are great. I do have one improvement to make to it however. I would love to see a way to add multiple vertexes in a row without having to select the polyline, select the center grip, hit ctrl key, click to add the new grip, select the center grip, hit ctrl key, click to add the new grip... repeat this process for however long!

What about the functionality of holding down the control key: Select the polyline, slect the center grip hold down ctrl, click to add new grip, click to add new grip, click to add new grip....

How does that work for everyone?

Doesn't Control change modes from stretch to add vertex to arc for you?
i.e. it's already assigned to something.

Where would it know where to add the extra vertice without selecting the point to add (mid between two other points).

Is your Pickfirst set to 1?

gee we waited way too many years to get the present functionality.
PLines must be way down their list. LOL

In ACA this is easily done: draw a rectangle or rectangle that have at least 2 corners on one side of the line. Select the polyline and right click. Under the menu click on aec tools>subtract and pick the rectangle(s). Enter. you can erase or keep the rectangle(s). The result will be the polyline with the form of the retangle resulting in several new endpoints. Fast and easy !
