I am using a detail component to represent my emergency lighting fixtures. It is a solid filled region controlled by a Y/N instance parameter. The detail component family is associated with the Ref. Level in the lighting fixture family.
In my electrical project file the fixtures display properly, but when my architect links in my elec model, the filled region (nested detail component family) does not display unless the architect changes his RCP view to Wireframe, which is unacceptable for printing.
If the architect changes his RCP view discipline to Electrical, then the fixtures display properly, but this is also unacceptable.
Anyone have any ideas?

I don't know what is going on with that particular project, but I created a new project and everything is displaying properly in both the electrical and architectural files.
However, I did discover that you cannot control the visibility of the "fill" portion of a filled region by the subcategory that the region belongs to.
The filled region is on a subcategory called "Emergency Fill" but when I turn off that subcategory in the project view, only the border of the filled region turns off, the pattern remains visible.
