Angry PLOTTED DRAWINGS TURNED ON SHEET

I am creating pdfs of my dwg's.. just a regular drawing, the sheet size I ned to use is ANSI D 22 x 34, when I open my plotter config window and click on PDF995 setting, all of the information shows up correctly, the full preview image in landscape format is perfect, the partial preview shows no warnings, but yet everytime I plot the drawing, it comes out turned 90 degrees on the sheet, I have tried both layouts, landscape and portrait,I tried both ANSI D formats 22 x 34 versus 34 x 22 and it still doesnt work...this is beyond frustrating.

Does anyone know what I can do to orient the drawings so they will print correctly instead of just previewing correctly?

    thank you

I've had similar problems with both Adobe and PDFCreator. It appears that if you edit ACad's PMP file (where it stores stuff like page sizes and margins) it screws up these virtual printers. I simply had to uninstall the printer (including removing the driver from windows ), remove the PC3 & PMP files, reinstall & recreate the PC3 (not touching the paper sizes, only filtering those I want).

How to rotate pdf plot in autocad.... I've had this problem FOREVER- and it's one of those things that you have to claw and fight your way through to finally get the answer. I used to just plot the pdf and then do the CTRL+SHIFT+R and rotate every plot I did. The newest version of Acrobat seems to hold onto things when i try and plot full sets of drawings- even after i rotated them to the way i wanted them to look- and that's when i had enough! I think i finally have the answer to a question so many people search for the answer to!! In order to plot landscape in acrobat- try the following: (note- if you don't feel comfortable doing this consult your cad manager or the person who installed your printers!!! )
    1. First- delete your .pc3 and .pmp files from the plotter and pmp folders (you can access it through the options dialog box if needed in autocad). The only reason i say to do this- is because wtih Adobe and Autocad i find it's best to set up Adobe first and then set up Autocad with a fresh and new start.
    2. Click on the start button and open your printers and faxes folder. Right click on the adobe pdf icon and open the PROPERTIES box for adobe. Then click on the PRINTING PREFERENCES button (near the bottom)
    3. NOTE- adobe sets its page sizes and will not let you modify them. You will have to create your own Adobe PDF page size. The arch page sizes that you see are for portrait and won't change no matter what you try. Click on the ADD button next to the page size pull down. It will open a new window. Rename it to whatever you like (i named mine Arch D2) . Change the width to 36 and the height to 24. Then click the ADD/MODIFY button and it will add the new page size to the pull down menu.
4.Select the page size you just made in the Adobe PDF page size pull down field. Don't close the printing preference dialog box quite yet.
    5. Switch to the Layout tab (farthest tab to the left) and make sure it's set to landscape in the orientation box. Then click on the ADVANCED button (bottom right) and change the paper size to your newly created paper size in the pull down menu and select OK. You can then click on OK at the bottom of printing preferences and you will be back in the properties dialog box. Don't close it quiet yet either.
    6. Click on the ADVANCED tab along the top and then click the PRINTING DEFAULTS button (bottom left corner) and repeat steps 4 and 5.
    7. This should set everything the way it needs to be for adobe to do what it needs to! Go ahead and click OK on the properties diaglog box and you can close the printers and fax folder. You might need to go take a break after that to keep from having an aneurysm. I know it's a lot!!!!
    8. Open autocad. go to the options dialog box and then go to plot and publish tab and click the add or configure plotters. Run the add-a-plotter wizard. Here are my settings- your's may be different.
    Click NEXT
Choose System Printer & Click Next
Select Adobe PDF from the list & Click Next
    Skip import and click Next
Keep Name as is and click Next
Click Edit Plot Configuration and change the following:
    -Click Graphics
    -Click Merge Control
    -Change to Lines Merge
    -Click Custom Properties
    -Click the Custom Properties Button
-Repeat Steps 4 and 5 (YES again!) then press ok
Click OK at the bottom of the Device and Settings tab.
    Click Finish.
    9. You should be done at this point. Check and run everything to make sure. It would be SO much easier if Adobe would just let you modify their standard page sizes- and have it all reference ONE place. But it's never been easy working with Adobe in Autocad. Figuring this out literally took me 3 hours today. So i'm hoping this will solve problems for everyone out there.
