Default Revit Link not appearing in section

Has anyone come across this issue where a Revit Link is clearly within the extents of a section cut, but does not display? Further, sometimes it can be "tricked" in to displaying by changing the extents, or far clip offset.

I have linked a Revit Architectural 2011 model into my Revit Structural 2011 model and I seem to get this problem sporadically. I am using the same view template for views that work and views that dont work.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Did you by any chance change the discipline setting of the view? I know this changes the display of a regular model, but am not sure if it works on links.

Check the Depth Clipping ; it needs to be set to No clip or Clip without a line. Setting it to Clip to Line seems to cause the wierd behavior in 2011.

Exclamation Re: Revit Link not appearing in section

I know that this is an old post but I'm having the same issue or/and worse. I did change my plan view to Structural discipline while working in Revit Architecture. Why you ask, well I didn't want these new sections to appear in my working floor plan. These sections are created to export to our folk using Microstation.

When I would open the sections while in the Structural discipline I noticed that even though my section was looking East, I was able to see all the information on the West side of my plan. I later figured out that it was the Structural Discipline that was creating this error. I changed my floor plan view back to Architectrural but the sections were still wrong, and some of the sections were missing a big chunk of the building that is attached to the file that I am creating the sections from.

I've purge and audited the file and I can't fix this. This project is also a workshared project.

Any solutions before I submit this via subscription?
