Default Adaptive Components driving Adaptive Components

I've been trying to get one adaptive component to drive another.

    See attached image

However if I move the driving geometry the points become detatched.

Am I doing something wrong or is it intended to act this way

    Thanks

To add to this above comment

I've been working with my reseller and we have worked out the following:

If you use a model line in the Adaptive component driving the geometry of the host Adaptive component if works. If you use a visible reverence point it doesn’t.

We are trying to now work out if this is intended behaviour or not.

In my little exploration of driving other geometry by adaptive components, nesting model lines in the adaptive component family works very well. You can set the model lines so they are only visable on course levels of detail, and you can add different colours to the model lines via object sub-categories.

Reference line can also be used to but as you can't see them very well in the mass, it doesn't make sence.

Things seem to work better if you avoide having points with-in the adaptive component driveing geometry in the mass.
