    Default what template?

I've waded through a bunch of threads/posts to no avail. Can anyone tell me if there is a way to determine what .rft file was used to create an .rfa file?

what is the category the object is using? In the family editor, choose Family Category and Parameters button in the Home Tab. The category will be highlighted. In the project, hover over the object and the tool tip that pops up (or look at the status bar) will tell you the category. This will give you the best clue what template was used.

thanks, the clue is what I needed. I'm creating so much new family content around here lately that I get "lost in space" regarding what templates to use for what.
