Question Error: Self intersecting splines are not allowed in sketches!

    Hi there.

I am getting this error report when trying to finish a sketch: Self intersecting splines are not allowed in sketches! Is there a work around to avoid this issue?

    Thanks,
    Craig

try leaving, say, a 1mm gap between the ends of your spline and connect the gap with a simple straight line.

or trim them together. this should also do the trick.

Increasing offset value from 2 mm to 3 mm did the trick for me. Revit seems to be a little bit tricky according small values sometimes.

Unfortunately, I don't seem to be able to trim splines.

This issue sometimes comes up with I try to trace an EPS logo which I exported to AutoCAD and then brought in to Revit. Like, for instance, when I am modelling a building sign. It can end up being a big time waster as I hunt for which spline is the bad one.
