Default 3D polyline at grade on a surface

I am looking for a way to create a 3d polyline on a 2:1 surface, that goes up the surface at say 5%. Does anyone know if there is any routine within civil 3d that can do this? Or any 3d party routines out there that can? I know there is a package out there called carlson civil that has a routine that does this but that is $1500 and I only need this one thing. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

I believe Terry Dotson (DotSoft) has a routine for creating paths at given slopes on a surface. It sounds like that might be what you are looking for.

Yes he does. It's called grade poly and it's just one routine in a package that is only $195. That should work! Thank you!
