    Default Moment Symbol Visability

Anyone have a good workaround other than drawing a filled region? I have a beam with a moment symbol under a slab. My detail level is set to hidden so the moment symbol shows up as an outline, rather than a solid fill. I need to have the detail level hidden because I dont want to show the Arch model below. Any Suggestions?

If your using the 2011 release you can hide individual components of the arch. reference so then you should be able to change the view as you see fit.

I am not able to replicate the issue you are having.
I set a beam below a 6" conc slab on metal deck. The Moment frame connection always show as a solid black symbol no matter if it is hidden or wireframe.

Does it show as solid in wireframe mode?
If not is it posible you selected cantilever moment vs moment frame....

    To answer both questions:

I have this issue with 2 projects, one in Revit 08 & one in Revit 09. I hope to upgrade to 2011 for another job. We have the release, just waiting for the architect to get up to speed.

I am using moment connection, not the cantilever symbol.

I just modified my slab edge to the center of the beam. The side of the moment symbol that is under the slab is outlined while the side that has no slab is solid. I cant figure it out for the life of me.

And as a side note. I'm not sure how 2011 works but to hide every single wall below in the arch model individually would take many hours.
