    Default Pline corners

What controls Plines with a width to close the corners?

Plines will look "unclosed" when constructing, but should clean up the corners when completed.

You may have to join plines or close them to get desired results.

These Plines are complete and even plot with open corners. They are joined plines.

based on what I read in the help file, the only way for the corners to be nice and clean is for the linetype to be continuous

You may want to check that PLINEGEN = 0 if your lines are not continuous.

The reason it looks unclosed is probably because it was created open, then extended to "close". This doesn't actually close the pline. A simple fix would be to break it near the open end (not the start end), delete the leftover bit, then do a pedit & select close. Only problem with this is it'll add a grip to the now closed pline. Otherwise just explode the pline, pedit & join.
