Has anyone used the Matrox Parhelia Series graphics card? They sound really good and their website has a page which addresses Revit. Although they speak to Revit 4.5. Just curious, we are looking at building 3 new machines and are considering this card.

I have the Matrox Parhelia 128 MB card. Appears rock solid and supports dual monitors very well (not that Revit does). One or two useful utilities if you do use dual monitors and will allow astonishlingly high color depth in Photoshop using a special driver. Most comments here suggest that Revit is not affected by what graphics card you choose provided you have 32MB or so to get the resolution and colour depth you are likely to want for this type of work. Jim Balding's is the only lone voice singing from a different hymn sheet so you may wish to quiz him.

The Parhelia is good if you want to do multimedia work - I have to crunch video down to send shots of my daughter to her overseas grandparents - for which it has nice features.

    Peter,

Thanks, we also do multimedia work and find ourselves doing more everyday. In the future I expect to be working on dual monitors, I think we'll give them a try. As for having a higher MB on the graphics card; I would want it for other applications, I run more than just Revit on a machine.

    Thanks,

we have standardized on the Parhelia here for our high-end 2d workstations (for InDesign, Photoshop, etc) and love them. Recommended.
