IS there a way to creat an order in a shared parameter that will show when you edit the family in REVIT. For example my shared parameter may have the months listed in order but once its loaded into a project and viewed in an object, the order comes out random

Nope, Other than adding them in in a given order, will be closer, not exact. That is because the built-in parameters are "sort of" shared parameters as well. You can order non-shared parameters, but not shared.
