Electrical Project Database Info Goes Away

I have an EPD setup in a view drawing, and I have that drawing xrefd in a sheet drawing. Everything looks fine and all info is there, but if I save and close then open the sheet again, all the panel and circuit info is gone and it's still referencing the EPD. So I have to detach, purge, then reattach the view dwg everytime I open the sheet. The view is showing correct information. Does anyone know why that information goes away?
