Hi all,
does anyone know how to adjust the speed of the turning vehicle in Autoturn?
Thanks,
Edit:Congrats on your first post, and welcome to the forums!
There are a couple of options for you to build your AutoTURN exhibit:
Hope this helps!
- If you are using the 'Steer a Path' button, the mouse pointer movement controls the speed (to a point)
- If you do not want to manually 'steer' through a turn, you can use the 'Generate Corner Path' button, and play with the constraints of the envelope (if there's a trailer, etc.)

In the 2006 version of Autoturn (all we have here) when you Generate Arc Path a small dialog box pops up that literally has a speed variable textbox to adjust the speed. We usually keep it at 1 MPH to generate the tightest path. I can't speak for the later versions of Autoturn

you might try to keep your speed up to 3 to 5 MPH if you are working with trucks entering and exiting your site. It will give you a more realistic idea of the vehicle needs to make it's turn. I use 5 MPH most of the time.

Not sure I understand the issue... The block, like any other, can be placed on any layer of your choosing (provided not currently on a locked layer). However, the AutoTURN blocks are comprised of geometry on AutoTURN specified layers (these may be modified in the AT settings).

First make sure that the target layer is not turned off, frozen or locked. The vehicle simulations can be placed on any layer. You can even specify which layer prior to placing the simulation. Under the property dialogue box of AutoTURN. (see attached image)
