Angry 2008 to 2006 explode "block" disappears

My office is using 2006. we recieved prototype drawings from a large corporation which were originally 2008, I think. There are a number of block type elements containing only text and leaders. I say "block type" they appear to be blocks but they don't show up in the list of blocks in the drawing. The "block" contains information such as layers and dimstyles. However, when I explode them they SOMETIMES disappear. Not being all that familiar with 2008 I can only imagine that these were an object/block type that is not available in 2006 and when converted back creates problems.

Can anyone help me find a solution so I don't have to rewrite all of the reference notes or settle for the font type (which cannot be changed) they given us?

    Thanks in advance.

Those are probably MLeaders which will be a proxy object in 2006. IOW, there isn't much you can do about them since you are stuck with 2006.

You could probably try saving the DWG as DXF or open the DWG in DraftSight.
