Detail Views / Group / Component Manager Request...

I see a need to have a graphical organization tool for Detail Views, Groups, and Components that would be similar in functionality to Design Center in AutoCAD. I know "Detail Groups" does not exist, but I am proposing that Groups (*.rvg) be further broken down into categories, so they can be managed better.

Basic Features:
1. Built-in Search Engine: Provide built-in filter for Detail Views, Groups, and Components respectively. Provide a means to store favorite searches, especially for those that would be accessed for company standards.
2. Provide a two window pane interface: Left column window would show thumbnail images, a large window on the right would show an enlarged picture. The viewing window might be organized by two tabs; Viewer and Data. Data would provide narrative info. about the view.
3. Provide a built-in transfer utility to import the view or group. Provide an option to rename view or group upon importing. Provide an option to place callout to view or group just imported.
4. Provide a means to print out all or a user selection set of Detail Views and Groups to 8.5x11 for project documentation purposes.
5. And for an all encompassing tool, throw in Detail Components into the mix as well.

One stop shopping is appreciated here.

Oops... Detail Group Category DOES exist in 7.0. Cool!!

I still would like to make them searchable however...

Another wish...

Provide a Show command from the shortcut menu for all three group categories from Project Browser. This would be similar to the Find Referring Views command and would compliment the Select All Instances command.

How do I view the group before I put it into my level so I know it's the one I want?

Components and even families need to have some visual cues as to what they are before being picked. You can see them in the file open dialog, but once in the drawing, there are several different categories in one long drop down list. Very hard to manage and productively work once you start getting heavy into a model.
