Default 1 line, file size 2.3mb... why??

    Hi, first time poster.

I recently received a file from a consultant and the file was extremely slow and the file size was large relative the content in the drawing. The file literally has 17 lines.
As a test, I copy/paste 1 of those line into a new file and the file size became 2.7mb.
I recovered, audit & purged the file and no difference.

The file was originally created in Archicad.

I need this resolved because this file is xref’ed into a lot of file making my productivity very slow.

    thank you in advance!!!

Without seeing the drawing, my guess would be the Microstation linetype bug. It could be any number of things similar to that though. Can you share the drawing with something like Dropbox?

Without your post I couldn't find the answer I was looking. DNGPURGE hotfix did the trick.

Brought the file size down to 91kb!!!
    Thanks again for your help.
