Last type in system family cannot be deleted

Hello all,

Our office is in the process of dividing our templates by discipline, so I am purging all of the unnecessary families from each template. However, I have found several families where the "Last type in system family cannot be deleted." Is there anyway around this? I understand why Revit does not want to delete them, but I am quite sure that I no longer need those families in the template.

There´s no way around that, that I know of ! You simply can´t have a project file without at least one wall type, one floor type etc. etc.

When cleaning up a template like that, make sure that you get as much of the unwanted stuff out of there, like deleting all (except one) gutter types, will alow you to delete all (except one) gutter profiles, if you know what i mean
