I have a project with some extensive phasing and also a good bit of old piping that is going to be replaced in the same place that it is now. In one phase of the project certain portion of the piping will be replaced. In the next, some more, and so on for 13 phases, each with its own CDs. We will have to design more than one phase at a time.
The problem is that, if we use OOTB revit phasing it will disconnect things demolished in phase 5, even on our phase 2 drawings, destroying the ability to filter by system.
My intended solution is to create my own 'demo' project parameter and use this to filter the views by phase without disconnecting anything but the cut points where they will connect one phase to the next. (A soft demo, so to speak). The problem with this is that I we will have multiple instances in the same place (one existing and one new) which will give me an error message that I have read will slow down my.model, which is nearly unmanagebly slow as it is.
Is there a way to override the error and just say its okay to have 2 things in the same place?
