    Default x,y along alignment

Is there a routine to intersect a perpendicular line with the alignment from a selected point not on the alignment?

    Thanks

    What software are you using?

    Opie

I wrote a lisp routine about 20 years ago that would write the station, offset and description to the drawing based off the alignment. All I had to do was select the alignment, enter the offset distance to write the callouts and then window the drawing. All the callouts would then be written to the drawing and to a file. I had a test that would check the above text to make sure there was no overlapping, if there was it would move the the text the correct distance. The process would take a couple of minutes for 500 feet or 10,000 feet.

Because we are moving to Civil 3D I have to modify portions of the routine.

    Again thanks for your help.

Would you mind sharing this routine?

Let me make the changes I have to and test it so I know everything is working.

If it's ok I will keep you posted on my progress in this thread.

Not a problem with me. Looking forward to see the final results.
