Cool Family Mtg Ht Shared Parameter

    I'm making schedulable content.

We need duplicate schedules in English and in Metric. Mostly I have all of it working fine. I'm running into trouble however with my mounting height parameter.

I have a shared parameter for mounting height. I need to do dual units, english to feet. I got the parameter to work fine for calculating the mounting height in FT and in M.

Here is the issue. Sometimes the value is not a number, but instead might be Roof or Mezz. This of course blows up the parameter..will not accept Roof or Mezz. I know why. I have a number parameter I'm asking it to accept text for the value.

Is there some formula, some recommended way I can get Revit to accept either numbers and do the calculation or to accept text, do no calculation, but populate both my english and metric schedules?
