This one trips up a lot of people. In 6.x, Revit added the ability to automatically hide certain section marks at different scales. The factory added a new instance parameter to the section properties called "Hide at scales coarser than" This parameter allow you automatically hide the section mark at any scale greater than "X". Why is this useful you ask?
Well you can use it to hide "working" sections and only show "documentation" sections, in all views, without using the "hide annotation in view" tool, which is obviously view dependant.
