I want to create a skylight with a curb. The bottom of the curb should snap tp the slop of the roof, but the top of the curbs, as well as the skylights need to be horizontal. how do I do this?

Use walls for your curbs, attach the bottom of the walls to the roof, and then place your skylight on top. If you use the tops of these walls as the reference plane for inserting your skylight, you can adjust your curb heights with the wall height controls and won't have to move your skylight after.

Dan, thanks a lot for your reply. Your solution is very good.
I am still curious though.
Is there any way to have a family intillegent to do this?
My initial reaction would be no, but I may be wrong. There are just too many variables that your family would have to consider; roof slope, skylight size, curb heights, and on it goes. If you could create a family like that, I'd buy it from you.

Yes, you can. But it wont figure out ALL of that. You have the option to make a family "Always vertical" or not. if its "Not" it will orient itself off the roof slope. If its "always vertical" the walls will protrude straight up. But it doesnt work out so well when you model in things like flashing, etc.
