Export/import of schedules

Can I export schedule information direct to a spreadsheet i.e. to Excel? I have used the Export/report/.txt/save as .xls route with success. Also is it possible to paste a spreadsheet into a Revit output sheet directly and not as, say, an image file?

select and right click on a schedule and select export... and follow the prompts.
