Default Civil 3D 2010 - Loss of Panels & Tabs

    Hi All,

My install of C3D 2010 has come accross yet another problem whereby it has lost the panels and tiles at the top of the screen. It displays a message saying that there are no panels currently loaded.

Can anyone advise as to how I can get these back as no matter what I try, without a reinstall, I cant seem to get it to work...

    Thanks,

    Sean

Assuming we are talking about a stock OOTB install, then it sounds like the correct menu is not loaded, or you have somehow created a new workspace that does not include any panels.

At the AutoCAD command line, type in MENUNAME. What does it return?

    1. If the menu name is not "c3d", then the correct menu is not loaded --follow these steps...

At the command prompt, type in ROAMABLEROOTPREFIX, and then copy the result to the clipboard.
Now type in MENU, paste in this path, then select the Support directory, then find "C3D.CUIX" and load this menu.

    2. If the menuname is C3D.CUIX, then make sure you are using a stock workspace like the one named "Civil 3D". If so and you still do not have any panels, then read the following webpage and decide if you want to reset or restore the CUI. Steps are included. http://thecadgeek.com/blog/2009/08/r...he-difference/
