    Default Mobile Workstation Purchase

I plan to purchase the Dell Precision Mobile Workstation M60 (refer to attachment for detailed system description). If anyone has this workstation, I would appreciate comments on its performance, particularily regarding the following:

    - NVIDIA Quadro FX Go700 graphics card vs. NVIDIA Quadro FX Go1000

    - Pentium M Processor (1.8 GHz vs 2.0 GHz)

    - 2.0 vs 1.0 GB RAM

    Thanks,
    Dave S.

Don't know your policy on replacing equipment, my advise (when I owned a computer consulting company) was to buy absolutely as much machine as you can afford, IF you don't replace boxes every year (like some do). Reason being, (as you know) the second you buy the machine, something new, better and faster will come out.

Get the additional memory, whether you buy the other two upgrades or not.
