Question Pendant Light Fixtures and Light Sources

So I have generated an industrial turret light fixture which allows the user to define the suspension length from the ceiling; the issue that I am having is that there doesn't appear to be a way that the light source definition can be pinned to a reference plane of the light fixture and does it really matter? When the suspension length is altered, the light source definition does not travel with the fixture. I did define the two lamps as the light source, but I am not sure whether or not REVIT uses the actual location of that light source or the light source definition to do the actual lumen method calculation.

Does anybody have any experience with this?

I'm in the process of doing the same thing. I created a reference plane 1" below the body of the fixture. In elevation I then created a dimension between the light source symbol and the reference plane, set it to zero and then locked it. The light source should now move with the reference plane.

Crawford - Thanks for the input, that was a huge help. I didn't even think about using a dimension line to set the reference line; seems a little backwards, but it works.
