MEP Plumbing connection problems

This may or may not have been covered in a previous thread. Yet I could not find it and I'm about to pull out my hair on this. I am currently just learning Revit by doing some busy work as putting in some general domestic water piping for a large jail facility, while on my off time studying the book Mastering Autodesk Revit MEP 2011.
I'm hoping that this isn't the stupidest question on here yet (Which I'm sure it is) and that it shall bite me in the face as soon as the answer is posted.
Anyways onto the main event.
I am drawing some domestic water piping and for some reason one of my many runs is constantly turning itself into my waste water system. Like I said I'm new to this hoping to get a grasp before I commit monitor homicide.
I can't seem to find the answer in the book or online can someone help?

Trust me, we have all been there. Revit does not come naturally. A little more information would be helpful to diagnosing the problem. What are the circumstances around this specifice run of pipe? What type of pipe is being used? How are the systems defined? Is this pipe connecting into a waste pipe somewhere along the way that you are not aware of? Any of these types of things can contribute to your unintended results.

You are probably connecting the pipe run to a fixture connector that is specified as "Sanitary"
