    Default Problem with Hosted Panels

    Hello,

I'm working with hosted panels on a project. I have circuited to most panels already, but I need to re-arrange the layouts of the electrical rooms, this means moving panels around.

There are some panels in the model that will not give my the opportunity to pick a new host, therefore I can only move the along the axis to which they are hosted. If I move it way out of the wall to which the panel is hosted, in an attempt to "un-host" the panel so I can pick a new host, I loose all circuits in the panel.

Some people seemed to have run into this problem before, but I'm wondering if anyone has found a fix. I cannot modify the family to delete the hosting element form the project and load it back in, since deleting the hosting element from a family is not an option with hosted families.

Thanks in advance for any help provided,

    Simon

I'm having a similar problem. Did you ever find a solution?

    Thanks

There were assigned spares and spaces in the panel schedule. I removed the spares and spaces and then I was able to rehost the panel. Not sure if it was a fluke, but maybe it will work for someone else as well.
