Default Glass appearing opaque when cut by section box

I have a family that has glass that covers seating to show best seating. My problem is when I got to a 3D view and use a section box to cut out just the room I want the glass turns gray and opaque. I can't seem to figure out what I'm missing. I've tried adjusting the material properties in both the family and the project. Any help would be appreciated.

It may sound obvious but check the location of the cut plane on your section box and drop it down a bit. It looks like you're cutting through a floor slab.

It is actually below the floor slab. You can see on the left side how the section box is cutting the family and it is solid gray too. Thanks for you help though.
