    Default Log siding

No this is not another how do you model log siding thread. I've just begun to play with this for a personal project of mine but it might apply to my real job someday. I've got my logs modeled as sweeps in the wall definition, after attaching the wall to the roof the sweeps protrude through the roof at the top of the sweep and fall short at the bottom of the sweep as seen in the pic.

Curious what others have done at these intersections to handle this, I have a few ideas that I'm going to try, but I still think I'm going to fall short in the end.

Can I place windows in a curtain wall? I tried creating a log curtain wall and my windows wouldn't place. I hadn't tried attaching it to a sloped roof though.

As far as generic models go... I was hoping to avoid placing every log piece individually and manipulating the ends and notches for openings... or am I missing something with this method?
