Although it isn't a printer, I made a tutorial for making PDFs from Revit.

Some of the settings with the Picture export should be altered to suit your needs.
Just another work-around.

I'm a big fan of Cutepdf. It's free and does the job well. Pdf995 works too except it bounces out to it's website at each print.
Ahh remember the old days when Revit had its own pdf writer? That was before the factory developed dwf. and dropped it. That goes back a few versions...
The native Revit PDF: Wasn't that the version that made pointy Ms and Ns out of rotated text?
Now that you mention it I do remember the pointy "M"s and "N"s

I tried the CutePDF seem to be good enough for now
I failed to be able to download the PDF creator...
we have Revit pdf writer but it does not function
also, was really happy with the HyperPDF but then $$$
