Where did my metal deck go?

We have a 6 1/4" slab --- 3 1/4" conc. on 3" composite metal deck.

When I cut a section, I should see the deck profile. If I move the section around the slab, sometimes I see the deck, sometimes I don't. Where do you think my metal deck is hiding? (even turned off ALL links and set to Discipline: Structural)

Any ideas?

Now it's just playing with me. The place I originally cut a section (where the deck profile *was* showing, the deck no longer shows... going to try to get screenshots to post...)

Got out of model, opened with Audit, and still having the issue...

Deck Plan A shows where I cut Section A; the deck shows as I expect.
Deck Plan B shows the EXACT SAME section cut, just moved to the left; my deck is not showing. I stretched the crop box up so I could see if the deck disappeared in the third floor also. This time it did not, but sometimes it does.

What do you see in 3D? Is it possible that someone has changed the deck (I.E. modified where the edges used to be?)? Does the deck cover the entire floor or just a small portion of it? Just thinking out loud....

Thanks for thinking out loud... This slab covers about 1/2 of the entire floor plate.

A section that printed OK yesterday didn't look right today. So, now I'm trying to figure out where the deck profile went. As you can see, the top 3 1/4" of concrete look OK. It's just the deck profile underneath that is missing in *some* areas.

I have seen some very odd things happen when cutting sections through the deck+slab that I can't explain. Sometimes the problem will go away if I edit the perimeter of the deck+slab in plan (just move a line then move it right back), it seems to refresh the deck.

Thanks mholzer. I did try that; as well as choosing other items to set my deck span to make sure it was absolutely perpendicular to my section cut.

This issue is taking too much of my time, but this is what I've come across...

I tried cutting a section at the other edge of my slab to see what it would look like. The deck profile showed up. So, I tried stretching my crop box across, toward the side of the slab where I originally wanted my section. As I stretched it in incrememts, the deck profile would disappear and re-appear. I could not determine or pinpoint any exact place the deck profile would decide to re-appear.

Since this slab (deck) is at a 30° angle, and the the sketch for the slab is rather irregular, I may try to break the slab up into smaller, less complex sketches and see if that relieves the issue... Of course, if I get to that, I'll post back my results.
